ECTOsol is a nourishing inhalation fluid that combines the properties of an especially light saline solution with the proven active ingredient Ectoin. The contained saline solution serves as a natural preservative in low concentration, while Ectoin complements the formulation with its cell-protective and skin-friendly properties.

What is Ectoin?

Ectoin is a natural substance produced by microorganisms that survive under extreme environmental conditions such as strong UV radiation or dryness. In cosmetic and care applications, Ectoin is valued for its stabilizing and protective properties.

It can help support the natural barrier function of skin and mucous membranes against external influences such as fine dust or pollen.

Applications for Humans & Animals

ECTOsol was specially developed for use with mask nebulizers of the Equosonic series (Private, Clinic, Practice, and Free). It is also suitable for Room inhalation – for example, in combination with the Equosonic Mobile II and the "Mobile Pack." About 500?ml are needed for this application.

Due to the fine nebulization, the fluid spreads widely in the room air and can also be perceived externally on the skin. ECTOsol can additionally be applied to support the care of dry or stressed skin areas.

The product is ready to use and does not need to be diluted or mixed. For hygienic dispensing, a spike and syringe are included. The spike contains a bacteria filter that filters the incoming air.

For Use with Horses

ECTOsol is also used in the veterinary field, especially for horses – for example, as a nourishing inhalation solution with a light saline content. It contains, besides highly pure salt, Ectoin, known as a cell-protective ingredient.

The product is often used in the supportive care of horses with sensitive airways, for example during times of increased exposure to pollen or dust. It can also be used over longer periods, e.g., during seasonal environmental stresses.

About the Origin of the Salt

The salt used comes from the Austrian Alps, is present at a concentration of 2?%, and serves exclusively as a preservative. It is pharmaceutical-grade salt of the highest quality, tested under strict standards.

ECTOsol (2?% saline + 1.5?% Ectoin) is not a medical product and contains no medicinally active ingredients. It is a supportive care product for inhalation with ultrasonic nebulizers and for accompanying room humidification – for both humans and animals.

Ultrasound units as well as batteries are consumable and wear parts. Their lifespan depends on usage, care, charging behavior, storage, water quality, and the inhalation solutions used. Replacement may therefore be required sooner or later.

For consumable and wear parts, the previous usage period is taken into account proportionally within the scope of our voluntary guarantee.

A defect in a consumable or wear part is not automatically a warranty case. In the event of a defect notification, we will technically inspect the device. If a statutory warranty case exists, subsequent performance will be provided free of charge.
