Paper "All-round Talent - Brine" by Melanie Gomoluch

About Melanie Gomoluch:

Melanie Gomoluch has been practicing as an animal naturopath since 2020, focusing on respiratory diseases in horses and especially on brine therapy. She herself has suffered from asthma since early childhood and therefore grew up with inhalation and treatments by the sea.

After many years of working in a veterinary practice, she further trained in 2018 in the field of brine therapy for horses and observed the effects of brine on Icelandic horses over 3 years. The focus was on respiratory diseases and summer eczema.

In 2019, Melanie Gomoluch established her own Icelandic horse farm and is the owner of three Icelandic mares.

She quickly learned how important good care of sick horses is, as they cannot breathe through their mouths due to their anatomical structure when their nose is blocked. Furthermore, Melanie Gomoluch has dealt with essential oils and methods of inhalation. In her experience, an "open inhalation mask" is very well accepted by horses and has always proven to be very effective.

This is how the enthusiasm for this form of therapy grew, and with her work she wants to help educate horse owners further and convey the great benefits of brine. Especially as a preventive curative measure and not only when chronic conditions have already developed.
