Inhalation for horses
Mask inhalation
The mask inhalation is characterized, as the name suggests, by inhalation using a mask. The setup consists of an ultrasonic nebulizer (model equosonic private or clinic) and an open mask.
Solutions for Veterinarians
"We have also already established many collaborations with veterinarians, animal healers, and animal parks. Here we offer individual solutions and are always in close contact as a partner with our technical expertise."

Room inhalation
'Here we replace the mask with a whole room. This way, the inhalation affects many systems (lungs, skin, hooves, coat) simultaneously. The animals can enjoy the climate and the inhalation in a relaxed manner.'

The Mobile Pack is an inner tank that transforms the equosonic Mobile II device into a 2-chamber system and creates new application possibilities. The use of the Mobile Pack protects the device's technology, as it no longer comes into contact with brine. This also reduces the amount of brine needed for an application. Additionally, the Mobile Pack simplifies usage, cleaning, and disinfection. The newly developed Mobile Pack is unique worldwide. The Mobile Pack is a consumable item, as it is exposed to ultrasonic waves and thus wears out. Please pay attention to the application instructions provided to achieve the longest possible lifespan. Nevertheless, the Mobile Pack must be replaced after a certain period. I have a large-area nebulizer equosonic Mobile II and would like to retrofit the Mobile Pack. What do I need for that? Retrofitting the Mobile Pack is very simple. You will need the "Mobile Pack Starter Set 100mm" if you still want to connect to a HT100 piping.
Depending on the size of the trailer, you will need the equosonic Mobile II 30 or 50 large area nebulizer and can optionally assemble a set with hose and wall pass-through from us. This is called "Mobile Pack Starter Set for Horse Trailers" and additionally includes two Mobile Packs, screw adapters for connection, 2 meters of flexible hose 50mm, and a wall pass-through up to 1.5cm thickness.
"We operate a different concept here than most of our competitors. We build real saline nebulizers with a high starting performance of 30ml/min to 50ml/min and do not use ultrasonic therapy devices from human medicine, which have too low a performance. The background is the fact that these can only effectively coat the bronchial and alveolar system with saline for about 10-12 minutes. After that, a strong outflow occurs, causing the saline particles to quickly settle on the moist surfaces. Thus, they do not penetrate as deeply as at the beginning of the inhalation. Therefore, it is important to immediately achieve a high concentration in the room. After 20 minutes, you can confidently turn off the device and let the horses rest in the saline for another 10 minutes."
In the literature, 0.9 to about 2% saline is described as a humidification for the respiratory tract. From about 2.5%, lysis and rinsing begin, which is enhanced by osmotic balance. At 4%, one is in a very good range. Clinics often prefer 7-8% saline, as they usually have the horses on site for only a few days and want to expedite the treatment. However, at higher concentrations, a spasmodic cough can develop, which is difficult to interrupt. This is easier to manage with medication. After acclimatization to the 4%, one can then gradually increase the concentration.
Yes, you can. However, I recommend pure salt. For this purpose, we sell pharmaceutical salt, which is a basic material for drug manufacturing. Production and filling are under certified, permanent quality control. It is European rock salt. Salt leads to a strong lysis and flushing after inhalation. In this process, older mucus components (which are accustomed to the prevailing 0.9% salt concentration in the airways) are dissolved and flushed out. This often causes horses to start coughing again, as the organism senses that something is being loosened. It tries to expel the mucus components through coughing. Dead Sea salt is good for baths and skin treatments. I do not recommend it for inhalation. It contains many residues that have no place in the airways. Unfortunately, it is similar with Himalayan salt, if it even comes from the "Himalayas."
Medication cups or aquapak capsules usually use therapy ultrasonic nebulizers with a single ceramic. As with our devices equosonic private, practice, and clinic, they utilize aquapak systems. For saline nebulizers with multiple ceramic heads, this has not been technically possible so far. Therefore, we have developed the so-called "Mobile Pack" as an addition, which is based on the principle of therapy nebulizers. Filters or bacterial filters are not necessarily required. These come from the human medical field for therapy ultrasonic nebulizers in hospitals and have the lowest flow rates. Our fans, on the other hand, transport about 75m³ of air during the 30-minute therapy time. The horse also continuously breathes in ambient air simultaneously! They are just nebulizers, not ventilators! Nevertheless, we offer filters for very dusty environments.
Of course, you can also purchase pre-made, sterile saline and nebulize it. We offer pharmaceutical salt (high-purity, certified rock salt) for self-manufacturing of saline. You need about 10 grams per % for 1 liter of liquid. So for 4% saline, 40 grams per liter. For 5 liters of 4% solution, accordingly 200 grams of pharmaceutical salt. Crystalline salt is completely harmless, as no germ growth occurs here. Freshly prepared saline must of course be used up soon and should not be stored for too long. For mixing, you can use tap water (preferably soft) or distilled water.
A knife tip of salt is approximately equivalent to 0.5 grams of salt (a leveled teaspoon is about 5 grams). The knife tip increases the concentration of the brine to about 2.15%. In the literature, concentrations of 0.9-2.0% are found for humidifying the airways; at 2%, the therapeutic effect of good inhalation salts begins. Veterinary clinics often use ready-made brine solutions of 6-8%. I do not recommend this for private use, as it can lead to spastic coughing fits, which can be medically terminated under supervision. At the very least, the horses should be accustomed to 3-4% brine before using higher concentrations.
"Ionized oxygen is not offered by us, as it is a myth. For further explanation, here is a link from a publication by the Federal Gazette regarding the benefits and refinancing in human medicine."
TO THE LINK
"Here, an expert commission commissioned by the federal government has exposed the treatment with ionized oxygen as a 'lie'. Conclusion: it is not reimbursed in human medicine because the studies are either false or not verifiable, and the alleged users even contradict each other. Please read for yourself. This can, of course, also be applied to veterinary medicine since the conditions are the same for all mammals. Horses generally do not have problems with oxygen uptake in the alveoli, but rather issues with spasming and inflamed bronchioles, and then directing 9 liters/min of oxygen into a space that already contains 21% air oxygen is an absurd measure. In medical technology, something is ionized to form concretions that can then be filtered out more easily, which is a completely different approach."
Of course, you can send our devices to us at any time. Usually, we repair within 24 hours. The devices are modular and can be disassembled into individual components without much effort. The power supply and control board are in slots, and the ultrasonic unit has a 2-wire connection. Any technician can assist here, and we send components quickly. After all, the nebulizers must operate safely for treatment! Also, HERE is a diagram for checking sources of errors.
Yes, we also deliver to other European countries. Many of our devices operate in Austria, Switzerland, Italy, and Luxembourg. The Netherlands and France are also included. Just inquire.
Inhalation oils have been used for hundreds of years and are well known and described. I exclusively recommend pure eucalyptus oil for the deep airways for various reasons. Eucalyptus oil combines several positive properties. It contains active ingredients that work well as expectorants, while also having a germicidal effect and dilating the bronchi, thus also acting as an antispasmodic. I like to recommend it in conjunction with the often prescribed expectorant Fluimucil, as it tastes and smells of sulfur, which horses often dislike. Eucalyptus oil masks the unpleasant smell and taste, and relaxes the horses. I know that many are afraid of adhesions, but consider this: 3-4 drops on a bronchial and alveolar surface of a horse's lung that is larger than the total area of a tennis court. Feel free to Google the time-tested effects of eucalyptus oil online and think about what happens when an infusion with eucalyptus is made in the sauna? That would be about 20ml in water, and due to the hot surfaces, the water evaporates and carries eucalyptus components in the steam. Almost every sauna-goer appreciates the effect......
